Take a Culinary Trip Around the World at a Multinational Buffet

BON WORLD BUFFET (Omori)

Just a one-minute walk from JR Omori Station, BON WORLD BUFFET is a multinational buffet restaurant that originated in the UK and opened in August 2025.

The restaurant brings together a wide variety of dishes from around the world, including Japanese, Western, Chinese, Indian, Southeast Asian, and Mediterranean cuisine.

On weekdays, about 60 dishes are available at lunch and around 80 at dinner. On weekends and holidays, the selection expands to more than 100 dishes.

Weekday lunch is reasonably priced at 1,600 yen for adults (1,980 yen for dinner), which is another appealing point. Children under elementary school age are 1,000 yen (1,100 yen for dinner), and children under three eat free, making it a great option for families.

One especially popular attraction for kids is the chocolate fountain, where they can dip marshmallows and mini cream puffs into flowing chocolate.

With so many choices, it can be hard to decide what to try first.

The menu changes regularly and sometimes features dishes inspired by the home countries of the restaurant’s international staff.

The Chinese-style Tare Tofu (left) and oden (right) are popular menu items that were added at the request of staff members.

On weekends and holidays, Peking duck is served directly at your table.
The restaurant has more than 130 seats, and the wide aisles make it easy to move around with strollers. During the daytime, it’s also a popular gathering spot for mothers’ groups.

After your visit, it might be fun to look at a world map together and talk about the countries that caught your interest.

A Mexican-American Restaurant with a Fun, Colorful Interior

EL-AMIGO (Nagahara)

Located a five-minute walk from Nagahara Station on the Tokyu Ikegami Line, EL-AMIGO is easy to spot thanks to its bright pink exterior along Loop Road 7.

Established in 1975, EL-AMIGO is a long-standing Mexican-American restaurant.

The colorful interior, inspired by Mexican architecture, creates a lively atmosphere that makes you feel as if you’ve stepped onto a trip abroad.

It’s an inviting space suited for gatherings with friends and family, as well as casual dates.

The restaurant’s origins trace back to another establishment called El Amigo, which the current owner, Mr. Oshima’s mother, once visited with her husband. What began as a branch of that original restaurant has now been serving customers for more than 50 years.

The cuisine centers on Tex-Mex, a fusion of Mexican and Texan food cultures.

American classics such as hamburgers and steaks form the foundation, enhanced with bold, spicy Mexican flavors.

One of the most popular menu items is the homemade chorizo, known for its juicy texture and aromatic blend of spices.

Homemade Chorizo (¥968)
Tacos are also a favorite among children, while adults may want to add spicy jalapeños for an extra kick.

Tacos made with 100% corn tortillas (¥1,078) (top), Jalapeño pickles with a refreshing heat (bottom).
The 400g jumbo hamburger is perfect for sharing with family.

Jumbo Hamburger (400g) (¥1,958) topped with Cheese (¥275). Served with rice or bread, a mini Mexican salad, and a soft drink.
Beyond its eye-catching presentation, one of the restaurant’s greatest appeals is its multigenerational charm. Many regular customers visit with three generations of family members.

A wide selection of alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine, is also available.
Takeout and delivery options make it easy to enjoy a Tex-Mex party at home. Surrounded by delicious food and a warm atmosphere, EL-AMIGO is a place where memorable moments come naturally.

Authentic Indian and Nepalese Cuisine Made Kid-Friendly

Everest (Kamata)

Located just a one-minute walk from JR and Tokyu Kamata Station, Everest is an Indian and Nepalese restaurant with an inviting, exotic atmosphere. Since opening in 2011, it has become a beloved spot in the local community.

The interior décor reflects Nepalese cultural influences, creating a warm and distinctive setting.

The restaurant’s signature dishes are its authentic curries, made using more than 50 kinds of spices. The level of spiciness can be adjusted from mild to extra hot, allowing even those who prefer milder flavors—and children—to enjoy the dishes comfortably.

From top left: Mango Lassi (¥495), Honey Naan (¥660), Butter Chicken Curry (¥1,098), Tandoori Chicken (2 pieces) (¥715)
About 60% of customers are Japanese, while the remaining 40% include people with roots in Nepal, India, Malaysia, and other countries, many seeking the comforting flavors of home.

For families, popular choices include kid-friendly items such as cheese naan and butter chicken curry.

The Honey Naan is topped with a generous drizzle of honey, creating a sweet and satisfying treat.

The Tandoori Chicken is served with a refreshing mint and yogurt sauce (left). A Children’s Lunch Set (¥700) is also available during lunchtime (right).
The menu also features dishes that are still relatively rare in Japan, such as Nepalese steamed dumplings called momo and Indian fried bread known as bhatura.

At the same time, some dishes incorporate Japanese-inspired ingredients like matcha and mentaiko (spicy cod roe).

The Mentaiko Cheese Naan (¥825) is generously filled with mentaiko and melted cheese, creating a rich flavor that pairs well with curry.
Enjoy a taste of international culture right here in Kamata—an ideal spot when you’re in the mood for a small culinary trip abroad.
