――Where is your recommended spot in Haneda Airport?
Mr. Fukushima, Pilot: My recommended spot is the observation deck of the domestic first terminal. The observation deck is facing the west, so you can see Mt. Fuji from the deck. This spot is famous for its superb view in the early evening. It’s exceptional to see airplanes with the backdrop of Mt. Fuji on sunny days.

Ms. Wakabayashi, Ground Staff: The observation deck of the international terminal is also recommended. You can view the 2 major famous spots in Tokyo; Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower from here!
There is a large operation panel which shows the status of airplanes in the airport at the observation deck, and airline companies and departure/arrival time are displayed on the panel. Also, you can enjoy seeing which airline’s airplane it is by checking the tail of an airplane.

Additionally, the Starbucks Coffee at THE HANEDA HOUSE on the 5th floor of the first terminal is recommended!
It’s a rare store in Japan where you can command the runway where airplanes are taking off and arriving out of big windows.

――What are your recommended spots except for the airport?
Ms. Okabe, Cabin Attendant:I really like dumplings with wings, a specialty of Kamata. Nihao, Hoan Yon, and Konparu are famous as the big three dumpling restaurants.
Also, there is a small Italian restaurant called Marco in Shimomaruko. Pastas and pizzas at the restaurant are good, so I often go there for lunch with my friends.

Ms. Shinozaki, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/Mechanic:
The cherry blossoms in Haginaka Park are beautiful, so I enjoy viewing cherry blossoms with my coworkers every year.

Ms. Kudo, Ground Handling:
There are many cherry blossom viewing spots in Ota City. Ikegami Honmonji Temple and Sakura-zaka Slope are also famous. You can enjoy viewing cherry blossoms at the bank of Tamagawa River.

――How do you enjoy your holidays?
Mr. Fukushima, Pilot: I often do exercise to keep my health. Basically, my exercise is running and riding on a bike. When I was younger, I enjoyed surfing. I have enjoyed stand up paddle boarding (SUP) recently,

Ms. Shinozaki, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/Mechanic:
I enjoy bouldering. When I do bouldering, I feel I’m facing myself and I can have a sense of accomplishment. There are some bouldering gyms in Kamata.

Ms. Wakabayashi, Ground Staff:
As ground staff need to run at the airport, I go to a gym in my neighborhood to do exercise. There is a boxing fitness gym at the first terminal of Haneda Airport, and doing Boxercise in the dark is popular. I’ve not tried it yet, but my mentors and coworkers often go there. Also, as customers from multinational countries use the international terminal, they use not only English but also other foreign languages, so I’m studying other language to acquire other languages.
