After leaving Tokyu Ikegami Line Senzokuike Station, Café les glycines can be seen just after taking a right on Nakahara Kaido Avenue, across from the Senzokuike Pond. It is a great place to drop by after strolling around the Senzokuike Pond for a coffee and a galette. Galettes are a cuisine originating in Brittany, France. An easy way to think of them would be to call them crepes made with buckwheat.
Common crepes are made with flour, but galettes are made with just buckwheat, salt, and water, cooked thinly in a circular shape and toppings are put on. Depending on the toppings, galettes can be enjoyed as a meal or a dessert. At Café les glycines, buckwheat from Horokanai, Hokkaido is used, and you can enjoy the rich aroma of soba. Including the Galette Provence introduced at the beginning of this article, all galette menus are available for takeout.

Café les glycines was opened by an owner who has abundant experience living overseas. Various goods from overseas that the owner has collected as a hobby decorate the cafe, creating a charming and cozy atmosphere where a wide range of age groups can feel at home, but taking galettes and coffee to go to eat in a park is definitely delightful as well.

In Café les glycines, cups from DANSK are used, a popular brand inspired by Danish design.

The cafe even has an ornament of a witch that the owner purchased in Europe (left) and a pinball game (right)!
