Hashigo-nori(Ikegami Honmonji Temple)

A traditional performance by the Omori Steeplejack Association which attracts about 2,000 visitors every year. Every year, on the coming-of-age day, splendid stunts in a single to triple formation, with six noriko (acrobatic performers) changing places each other, are performed on top of a 6 m bamboo ladder in the precincts of Ikegami Honmonji Temple. After the performance, visitors can try with a mini ladder and take a commemorative picture with performers. It offers a heart-warming shitamachi atmosphere in the Tokyo downtown, which many foreign tourists enjoy a lot.
