Creative Town Lab. TAMAGAWA

Creative Town Lab. TAMAGAWA was created as a community exchange hub for attractive “manufacturing town development” at a renovated plant and office building in the factory-lined street in Yaguchi, Ota City. Creative Town Lab. TAMAGAWA is usually called “Kurirabo Tamagawa,” written in hiragana to give a friendly image.

Factory wing

The factory wing which keeps the air of an old manufacturing floor is available for exhibition, hands-on experience, events, and workshops.

Office wing

The newly renovated office wing is used for a talk show or meeting.

Kurirabo Workshop

A workshop to experience techniques that factory workers use in their daily operation. A temporary plant is set up within the factory wing for people to learn about the techniques and regular factory operations and try to make their own original goods by using learned techniques.

Machiko BAR

Contents

A talk show to which factory craftsmen and factory staff members in Ota City are invited to talk about their factories and thoughts of Ota City. Participants can enjoy a relaxing moment in a unique atmosphere of the former factory over a locally brewed sake called “Machiko BAR.”
