Town of Manufacturing – Ota City
Ota City, with about 3,500 factories, is nationally known as a town of manufacturing or a town of small and medium-sized businesses.
Most of the factories are small or medium-sized with nine or fewer workers focusing on special techniques such as metalworking.
By making good use of a unique business network called “nakama-mawashi,” these factories, as a foundation for the Japanese industry, have been supporting the development of cutting-edge technology.
